MUN - What is Model United Nations? MUN - Model United Nations is a conference in which the United Nations meetings are simulated by students in terms of content and form. Participating students from around the world discuss real-world issues at MUN conferences. MUN is recognized as the most prestigious academic activity for students by secondary schools, high schools, universities, educational institutions and many academic authorities in the world. The resolutions of the MUN Conferences are sent to the United Nations as recommendations. As a typical United Nations Conference, students who participate in MUN conferences serve as the delegates of the countries in committees allocated for them, such as the Security Council, the Economic and Social Council, and the Disarmament and International Security and etc. Students who attend Conferences represent various countries as a delegate. Thus, students learn to look at world affairs from the perspective of other nations and gain in-depth knowledge of the geographical, social, economic, political and administrative aspects of different countries.
